Woman Under the Influence of Heroin Kills 2 Elderly People in St. Peters, MO.

Use to be when we got behind the wheel to go anywhere we only had to worry about others on the road possibly operating their vehicle while under the influence of alcohol if they were driving a little erratic but that's definitely not true anymore.

The abuse of drugs, misuse of prescription medications and other substances among teens, young and many older adults anymore is unbelievably high and now alcohol isn't the only substance contributing to collisions and fatal accidents. People in all age groups are abusing or misusing drugs anymore and driving under the influence and law enforcement is seeing an increase in drug related accidents everywhere.

Heroin is unfortunately one of the drugs that are increasing in abuse right now and users often get behind the wheel high. Many heroin users even shoot up while driving down the road putting everyone's life at risk. Sadly people are driving while under the influence of drugs every day and innocent people are losing their life because of it.

This is exactly what happed not long ago in St. Peters Missouri. A woman driving under the influence of heroin admitted to authorities that she had shot up prior to causing a collision that led to the death of 2 others according to kmov.com. Sadly an elderly man and woman were killed as a result of the accident Christine Brown caused when she crossed the center line while high on heroin last month.

According to the article, authorities found a syringe in her bra and several heroin capsules in the woman's vehicle. She's been charged with "manslaughter and also for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia."

Two innocent lives were lost that day that could have been avoided. Sadly now Ruth Thimming and Donald Gemeinharts families and friends will have to endure intense pain and loss all because someone else chose to get behind the wheel high on heroin.
